Darren Hendry

Darren joined Mackenzie Construction as Contracts Manager in June 2024 and is based out of our regional office in Inverness. Darren graduated from Napier University in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering and has since developed a wealth of experience in the civil engineering sector with 13 years of consultancy and 10 years of contracting experience. Darren has held management roles in consultancy (Technical Manager) and numerous management roles in contracting (Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Managing Director).

Darren has joined our Regional office to enhance the company’s existing capabilities and to lead growth within the region across numerous sectors.

Darren leads with a people-focused approach and is passionate about creating a positive working environment where people and teams feel safe to express their views whilst producing high-quality, team-focused results through a culture of continuous improvement.

In his spare time, Darren prioritises time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, particularly winter sports and a round of golf (in the sun).
