Talent development

Our dedicated and experienced teams are loyal to delivering expert support to our clients, just as Mackenzie Construction are committed to training and development for our staff.

We take pride in the high level of training and coaching that our employees have and as a result of this we have a high number of long-term, engaged and knowledgeable employees.

We also recently upgraded our award of Investors In Young People from bronze to silver in 2015 and silver to gold in 2018 in recognition of our commitment to our on-going trainee and apprentice schemes, and the support and development of young people in our company. We are one of only a handful of construction companies in Scotland to have achieved this.

We are active members of The Scottish Contractors Training Group and the GBCTG, which are utilised to deliver training to meet Company requirements and those of our clients.

Our commitment to the training and development of our staff has been recognised by the achievement and retention of the status of ‘Investor in People’ since 2000, when we achieved the Bronze award. This was upgraded to Silver in 2015 and in 2018 we proudly achieved Gold status

Futureproofing our foundations

Throughout our 40-year history, we know that by investing in our workforce and equipping them with the knowledge and skills required they are empowered to deliver the Mackenzie standards of safety and quality every day on site.

Future-proofing our foundations is a company initiative to safeguard our distinctive culture, ensuring a progressive, sustainable and healthy working environment for our staff. Our values, practices and behaviours are at the heart of this and how our staff do things is as important as what we do.
