Mackenzie Construction’s ‘East Team’ attend Sika Training Session

Mackenzie Construction’s ‘East Team’ working on Scottish Water’s SPMA Programme of work attended a bespoke training session put on by Sika on Wednesday the 21st of August.

The training was focussed on structural repair systems for use in drinking water assets and was carried out at Sika’s excellent training facility in Wishaw, Scotland.

The trainers were friendly and knowledgeable, encouraging the Mackenzie Team to engage and participate in all aspects of the training day. The team were grateful to come away with a few important hints and tips on the day, especially concerning bandage and coating applications. This training day also provided us with an opportunity to see some of Sika’s newest materials for waterproofing and coating dirty water tanks.

This is the second cohort to attend this training session with Sika and we are planning further sessions in Wishaw plus another training day in Preston for our English-based teams.

“We are always striving for continuous improvement and investing strongly in our people through training and personal development, aiding current roles and allowing for career progression. We are happy to be implementing Sika’s training day across our regional offices supporting the wider success at Mackenzie Construction.” – Mark Brown, Structural Refurbishment General Manager
