Mackenzie Construction Renews Commitment to Irvine Meadow FC and Its Community

Mackenzie Construction has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to Irvine Meadow FC by renewing its sponsorship of the club.

In 2023, Mackenzie Construction became the club’s official Community Sponsor, formalising a partnership built on shared values of investing in people, developing talent and creating opportunities within local communities.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, Mackenzie Construction supports a range of initiatives across Scotland that focus on personal development and community engagement. Irvine Meadow FC perfectly aligns with those objectives through its extensive work both on and off the pitch.

Over the last seven years, Irvine Meadow FC has evolved beyond being solely a football club, establishing itself as a thriving community organisation. Through the creation of Irvine Meadow Youth, the club now provides football opportunities for youngsters aged 5 to 17, offering a structured environment that prioritises player development, coach education and community participation. The programme has created clear pathways for young players while ensuring football remains accessible to individuals from all backgrounds.

The club’s impact extends far beyond football. The Irvine Meadow Community Club supports a variety of community groups, including social clubs and supporters’ organisations, helping to strengthen local connections through events and activities designed to promote friendship and wellbeing.

In addition to its wider club sponsorship, Mackenzie Construction has also strengthened its support of individual achievement through its sponsorship of the Irvine Meadow Young Player of the Year Award.

This season’s recipient was 21-year-old Ben Ferguson, who enjoyed a standout campaign following his arrival at Meadow Park ahead of the 2025/26 season. A graduate of the Hamilton Academical Academy, Ben progressed through the youth system before spending a season with Queen’s Park. He later joined East Kilbride FC, gaining valuable senior experience during a loan spell with Broomhill FC.

Since arriving at Irvine Meadow, Ben has established himself as a key member of the first-team squad, playing an instrumental role in the club’s league-winning season. His performances, consistency and professionalism throughout the campaign earned widespread admiration from teammates to his coaches and supporters alike.

By sponsoring the Young Player of the Year Award, Mackenzie Construction is not only recognising sporting excellence but also highlighting the importance of dedication, development and ambition among young athletes. Ben’s journey and achievements embody the values that both the company and the club strive to promote.
