Glenmavis Betterment Event

Mackenzie Construction is proud to have collaborated with Scottish Water Horizons, North Lanarkshire Council, and New Monkland Primary School in a recent tree-planting initiative in Glenmavis. This effort was part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, following a £2 million sewer upgrade project in the area.

The essential sewer system upgrade necessitated the removal of several trees to ensure the success of the critical infrastructure improvements. In response, we coordinated a tree-planting event in the local community green space to offset the environmental impact. Pupils from New Monkland Primary School played a key role in this initiative, working alongside our project team to plant new saplings and contribute to the regeneration of the local ecosystem.

At Mackenzie Construction, we recognise the importance of engaging with local communities and inspiring future generations. This tree-planting initiative not only restores green spaces but also provides valuable educational opportunities for young people to learn about sustainability in a hands-on manner.

We extend our thanks to all participants, especially the enthusiastic pupils of New Monkland Primary School, for their invaluable contributions to this project. Together, we are fostering a sustainable future and enhancing the landscape at Glenmavis.
