Health, safety, environment & quality
There is a good reason why ‘Safe in the knowledge’ is part of our brand identity. Safety is our number one priority and our exacting health and safety standards have been accredited to the highest level and we want our clients, staff and partners to feel safe in the knowledge that Mackenzie Construction is the best contractor of choice.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Our rigorous commitment to safety is demonstrated through our achievement of industry awards, accreditations and qualifications and feedback from clients who trust us in this area. Our health and safety systems are accredited to ISO 45001 standards and we have been awarded the RoSPA President's Award for 14 consecutive Golds.
MENTAL HEALTH
We realise the worrying statistics around mental health in our industry and are striving to create positive attitudes towards mental health & wellbeing in our business. We have a team of Mental Health First Aiders in place who are trained to look out for signs of those who may be feeling a strain on their mental health and we hope this resource will prove invaluable to anyone struggling.
ENVIRONMENT
We operate in a diverse range of locations and environments and are committed to minimising disruption and harm to local ecosystems. We undertake in-depth surveys of the areas in which we work to assess the impact and ensure where there is risk that measures are put in place to protect birds, animals, fish, trees and plants.
Mackenzie Construction’s commitment to the environment is underlined by the development and maintenance of our Environmental Management System (EMS). Our EMS and approach to environmental issues has been assessed, evaluated and accredited with Lloyds Register to ISO 14001:2015.
QUALITY
We have a steadfast belief in achieving the highest level of quality and delivering best practice through our products and services to the best possible standards. We have established quality management systems and robust reporting practices in place to ensure our strong track record is maintained.
We implement a regime of ‘zero defects’ and ‘right first time’ throughout our business operations. The quality of our works are managed by the processes and systems laid down in our Quality Management System, which is Lloyds Registered to ISO 9001:2015. These procedures are utilised to Plan, Manage, Resource and Monitor all aspects of our works to deliver ‘right first time’ and through the application of these processes we are able to monitor and demonstrate continuous performance improvement with all our clients.
"Health and safety was high in the priority of the site staff. They had good systems in place and it was apparent that this has been communicated to the operatives. Site personnel were diligent to ensure that all visitors were inducted in the site health and safety rules."
