Mackenzie Construction Successfully Achieves LRQA Recertification

Mackenzie Construction has successfully completed a six-day external audit by LRQA as part of its recertification for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and SSIP standards, with a recommendation for full recertification across all four accreditations. 

The audit concluded with zero major nonconformities, zero minor nonconformities and no opportunities for improvement raised, a result that reflects the strength and consistency of the company’s management systems and operational controls. 

The auditor highlighted the continued maturity of Mackenzie Construction’s integrated Management System, alongside the quality and effectiveness of its management reviews, monthly reporting, slide packs and structured meetings. Investigation reports and root cause analysis processes were also commended, demonstrating a clear and disciplined approach to learning and continuous improvement. 

Site management of hazards was identified as another area of strength, supported by strong collaboration between the Compliance Team and site delivery teams. This joined-up approach was evident during site visits, where site teams facilitated detailed inspections and discussions around safety, quality and environmental controls. 

Several aspects of the business were recognised as examples of best practice and described as benchmark-setting within the sector, with the auditor noting that elements of Mackenzie Construction’s approach are referenced to other clients as leading industry standards.
