Mackenzie Construction are currently working on the Above Ground Asset Framework Agreement with Scottish Water. This contract is a continuation of the Small Value Capital Works Contract which we have been  woring on for the last 3 years.

    Network Maintenance

Mackenzie Construction recently started work on the Network Maintenance Framework for Scottish Water. The contract was won through competitive tendering after the completion of the pre-qualification period. Works are primarily the reactive repair and maintenance of the network of underground water and waste water pipelines in the Scottish Water area. Scope of the contract also includes carriageway and footpath re-instatement in accordance with NRSWA 1991 specification for Openings of Highways. Requirements also involve out of hours working and working alongside the Scottish Water Internal Direct Labour Organisation. Occasional Sewer Cleaning and CCTV surveying also form part of the contract.

The total value of the works is unknown at this time but is estimated to be in the region of approx £5M per annum and is carried out primarily in the Central belt, Tayside and Grampian.

    Glasgow Housing Association

We won the framework agreement with Glasgow Housing Association for Environmental Repairs and Improvements at the end of 2005, with works starting early 2006.

The framework is for 4 years and with a value of approx £5M per annum. Works involve design and construction of backcourts and external environmental improvements to Glasgow Housing Association housing stock throughout Glasgow.
