ISO 9001:2008 was launched in November 2008 – with companies worldwide being offered until 14 November 2010 to make the transition from the 2000 standard.
Mackenzie decided not to wait – and were certified by LRQA to the new standard in January 2009 – twenty two months ahead of the deadline.
The LRQA audit report was highly complimentary – with no nonconformities, observations or areas for management attention identified. Positive comments include:
- Continued performance improvements and efficiencies are notable through the measures and monitoring results reported through the review processes.
- The value of using the LRQA Continual Improvement Tracking Log was considered and presently the form would provide no added value to the client.
Mackenzie Construction has always been commited to continual improvement – recognition of this by a prestigious independent authority is indeed a compliment.
