Mackenzie Construction was founded in 1980, primarily to develop the Civil Engineering potential in Central Scotland. Since its inception the Company has been under the control of the present Managing Director, Ronnie Simpson.

Brian Lamb joined the Company in 1981, becoming a Director in 1983.

Brian Roberton joined the company in 1989 and became Contracts Director in July 2004.

Andy Dalrymple also became a Contracts Director in July 2004 and joined the Company in 1992.

Mackenzie Construction engages in construction activities under the following 3 general headings:

• Civil Engineering - This includes but not limited to road construction and maintenance, bridgeworks, reinforced concrete structures, embankment stabilisation, coastal protection, drainage systems and sewage  treatment works.

• Structural Repairs - Mackenzie Construction specialise in repairs to bridges high and low rise buildings, guniting and application of proprietary concrete repair systems.

• Refurbishment - This category of works we carry out on industrial and residential buildings or private and local authority clients with the emphasis on structural refurbishment and specialist concrete repairs.
