Upgrading of flat roofs and refurbishment of Penthouse Flats at Bruce House, Davidson House, Rose House and Wallace House, Hazelhead.

Nature of the works included, roof areas, plant room and penthouse walls – re-covering of the existing main roof, plant/water tank and penthouse flat roof surface, application of rendering systems to the plant/water tank walls and insulated rendering to the penthouse walls. Replacement of the existing mechanical extract ventilation system (not at Davidson House) along with associated electrical works. Temporary alteration works to the lighting conductor system and TV installations. Re-pointing of the external panel joints to the outer face of the block at the 12th Floor upstand. Removal of asbestos panels located in the external leave of penthouse walls and infilling with blockwork. Remedial works to cracked masonry to concrete upstand beams supporting the penhouses walls. Installation of new handrails and decoration works.

Refurbishment of 8No penthouse flats; replacement of internal timber stud partitions, kitchen and bathroom fitments, electrical re-wiring, new plumbing layout, installation of domestic ventilation system and hot and cold-water services, timber strapping of concrete ceilings, new timber floating and decoration works.
Structural repairs, new timber strapped and plasterboard finished ceilings along with re-decoration to individual rooms within No44 Bruce House and No44 Davidson House.
