Bellshill Town Centre Streetscape Phase 1 & 2

Works are now well underway on this £1.8M project  and comprise the complete reconstruction of four individual streets in the centre of this busy town involving high quality Streetscape works and road reconstruction works.

Both indigenous and imported natural stone materials laid to a high specification are being utilised within the scheme in the form of Chinese Granite Kerbs and Caithness Slabs.  In addition to this it also includes for the complete renewal of the existing street lighting system together with numerous hard and soft landscaping features which will provide a third dimension to the project. Granite raised planter beds, shrub and free planting, fencing and sculpture are included within this element.

Due to the location of the works in the busy town centre there is a high element of Traffic management in place, both for vehicles and pedestrians.

Traders and traffic alike will also benefit from the proposed increased on-street parking bays and newly introduced road layout, which will ease the congestion within the area.
