Garelochhead Firing Range now complete

The project at Garelochead to construct a new Firing Range on behalf of Landmarc is now complete. Works involved the demolition of the existing Grenade Range and construction of new 600m and 100m firing ranges.

Both ranges will be now be supported by a new warden’s complex building which consists of an administration department and maintenance and repair workshops together with troop support facilities for up to 100 troops including changing and welfare facilities and First Aid provisions.

The building includes two fully integrated classrooms for induction and education of the multi-national troops that will use the facility. The building works consists of:

• Reinforced concrete foundations
• Steel frame
• Block and brick walls
• Ground source heating.
