Atholl and Coats Crescent

Mackenzie Construction are preferred Contractors for City of Edinburgh Council for Lot 4 of their Roads and Transportation Framework, Landscaping and Paved areas. We recently undertook this project at Atholl and Coats Crescent in connection with this Framework.

The works were primarily to construct a new footway within both of the Crescent Gardens at Atholl and Coates Crescents, at the West End of Edinburgh in relation to a key Tram Stop for the New Tramway System.

The 2.7m wide footway was constructed to full depth and included a concrete sub-base, mortar bedding and the use of natural stone paving. Existing tree stumps were removed as part of the site clearance and four new trees were planted. Setts and slabbed areas were cleared and minor repair works to the existing stone perimeter walls were undertaken. The site was reinstated with topsoil and grass seeded on completion of the works.
